In line with the observance of the 18-day National Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), the GAD Unit of PSU Lingayen Campus spearheaded “An Orientation on Safe Spaces Act” on December 20, 2021 (Monday), from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Covered Court, Pangapisan North, Lingayen, Pangasinan.
The extension activity was facilitated by the resource speakers, Ms. Cheenie Rose B. Bermas, an Economics Instructor, Mr. Rexian Noah Zareno, a Technology and Livelihood Education Instructor on behalf of Ms. Christine Iñez A. Padlan, a Language trainer and Atty. Vanessa G. Barlolong, a Practicing Lawyer.
Moreover, the participants were oriented about Republic Act No. 11313. The law covers all forms of gender-based sexual harassment (GBSH) committed in public spaces, educational or training institutions, workplace, as well as online space.
The participant shows willingness to learn from the said activity by listening attentively and actively asking questions about the topics presented.
