PSUnians Top in Licensure Examination for teachers

Excellence is not just a word for Pangasinan State University, it is a way of life. As one of the manifestations of this bold statement, two PSUnians successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers with flying colors in 2019 and 2021 in the person of Mr. Jan Michael Tibule and Ms. Coreta Santillan.

Ms. Coreta Sagun Santillan, a faculty member of College of Computing Sciences of PSU Lingayen Campus, made her home proud as she ranked 9th place in the September 2021 Licensure Examination for Teachers Secondary Level. As announced, 4,883 elementary teachers out of 8,726 examinees (55.96%) and 10,318 secondary teachers out of 17,863 examinees (57.76%) successfully passed the LET.

Pangasinan State University recognizes efforts and celebrates success. During the 2021 Year End Employees Assembly on December 21, 2021, PSU proudly held a motorcade around the province to celebrate such success. The hardwork of Ms. Santillan was rewarded as she received cash incentives from the university.

 

Mr. Jan Michael Garcia Tibule ranked 5th in the 2019 Special Professional Licensure Exam (SPLE) for Teachers Secondary level. He obtained Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Technology and Livelihood Education degree under the Expanded Tertiary Education, Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) of Pangasinan State University. As announced, 331 elementary teachers out of 161 examinees (19.25%) and 81 secondary teachers out of 306 examinees (26.47%) passed the exams.

PSUnian is Top 6 in the 2010 Nutritionist-Dietitian Licensure Examination

Cruz bags 6th Place in Nutritionist-Dietitian Board Examination in the recently concluded Nutritionist-Dietitian Board Examination last July 27 and 28, five (5) PSU Lingayen Campus Nutrition and Dietetics graduates showed that the university can really produce graduates armed with quality education as they passed the said examination. One of them, Cristina Marie Fabiaña Cruz brought more fame to this very institution as she bags 6th place in the overall ranking of the examination passers. A clear proof that the university really is effective and efficient in arming its students with the necessary skills and intelligence to make it on top in the outside world. Cruz was not alone; other students of the same program also successfully passed the examination were Maria Teresa Z. Cruz, Carmela  Guico, Ana Mariel M. Lopez, and Christine Mae R. Yuson. These students together with Cruz made it and passed the examination signaling their first step in their career life. Their success is also the triumph of the Nutrition and Dietetics Department, headed by Dr Ofelia S, Puzon and most of all, it is also the victory of the whole university.
