We welcome you on behalf of the faculty members of the Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education  program.  It is our pleasure to have you virtually here with us to show you what we have, what we do, how we do it, and with your expertise and insights, get guidance on how to do these better.

Accreditation is an important part of the process towards excellence and achieving the University’s vision of becoming an ASEAN Premier State University. With your assessment as our guide, we can sustain the positive components of our program while instituting changes to areas that need improvement.

Thank you for becoming part of our journey in molding highly competent and motivated future teachers in technical and vocational education in their area of specialization, namely; Automotive Technology, Drafting Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, Food Service Management and Garments, Fashion and Design Technology, who will  equip the learners  with adequate and relevant competencies in teaching specific area in industrial Arts or Home Economics or ICT or Agri-Fishery arts – the four areas of technical and vocational track in the K to 12 curriculum.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

After completion of all academic requirements of the program, graduates of the BTVTEd should be able to practice the teaching profession in the field of specialization, serve as TVET trainers and assessors, or proceed to practice careers in various sectors of industry as entrepreneurs or as employees

The BTVTEd is an undergraduate teacher education program that equips learners with adequate and relevant competencies in teaching specific area in industrial Arts or Home Economics or ICT or Agri-Fishery Arts – the four areas of technical and vocational track in the K to 12 Curriculum.

Specific to a sub-discipline and a major (SM)

  1. Demonstrate the competencies required of the Philippine TVET Trainers -Assessors Qualifications Framework (PTTQF).
  2. Demonstrate broad and coherent, meaningful knowledge and skills in any of specific fields in technical and vocational education.
  3. Apply with minimal supervision specialized knowledge and skills in any of specific fields in technical and vocational education.
  4. Demonstrate higher level literacy, communication, numeracy. critical thinking, learning skills needed for higher learning.
  5. Manifest a deep and principled understanding of the learning processes and the role of the teacher in facilitating these processes in their students.
  6. Show a deep and principled understanding of how educational processes relate to larger historical, social, cultural, and political processes.
  7. Apply a wide range of teaching process skills (including materials Curriculum development, lesson planning. development, educational assessment, and teaching approaches).
  8. Reflect on the relationships among the teaching process skills, the learning processing in the students, the nature of the content/subject matter, and other factors affecting educational processes in order to constantly improve their teaching knowledge, skills and practices.
