The Kapisanan Ng Mga Mag-aaral ng Araling Panlipunan (KMAP), conducted the first-ever webinar-workshop focusing on improving and implementing abilities in presenting and generating visuals, as well as basic operating system functions in Social Studies major last December 9, 2021 held via MS Teams.
The webinar-workshop started on a short opening program and was supervised by the two competent resource speakers, Mr. Reiven S. Tolentino, a Licensed Professional Teacher and former KMAP Webmaster; and Engr. Dennis F. Viray, a senior highschool teacher at Labrador National Highschool. Tolentino’s discussion was all about the elements and principles of layout design, proper combination of colors, and font pairing while Viray discussed the procedures in creating digital arts from drawings and operating a chatbot.
The said virtual event is one of the projects of KMAP president-elect Philip Jeonard De Leon that is significant in today’s online distance learning environment and technology where the internet platforms are becoming increasingly interwoven.
“During the campaign, this is just a platform. A dream for all the Social Studies students; but now, it is not just a dream anymore”, De Leon said on his message.
KMAP adviser, Dr. Teddy Fernandez, commended his officers for their hardwork and dedication to conduct this webinar-workshop amids pandemic. “Computer-related information must be learned and updated as technology improves. Formal education provides students with an important opportunity to learn and develop computer skills that they will need in their personal lives and careers”, he said.
