A significant stride towards fostering volunteerism within educational institutions occurred to consolidate efforts between Pangasinan State University and the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) on July 8, 2024, at the REI Conference Room.
This initiative follows the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which underscores a shared commitment to cultivate a culture of volunteerism among students and staff. The meeting aims to outline strategic frameworks and action plans that will operationalize the terms set forth in the MOU. It serves as a platform to discuss collaborative initiatives that will leverage the strengths of both PSU-LC and PNVSCA towards achieving common goals in promoting volunteerism.

The meeting was attended by the PSU Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation, Dr. Razeale G. Resultay, together with Dr. Armando Junio, the Director of Extension Services Office, Dr. Romary Lincod, the Director of Gender and Development Office, Dr. Renato E. Barrera, the chairperson of Social Work Department, Ms. Beverly Fernandez, the coordinator of Gender and Development, and Mr. Joebert Ballesteros, the coordinator of Extension Services.

This meeting serves as a testament to the power of partnerships in driving meaningful impact and lays the groundwork for sustainable initiatives that benefit society at large. The meeting not only signifies a commitment to the principles of volunteerism but also underscores the importance of collaboration in achieving collective goals for the greater good.
This initiative is aligned with SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. It emphasizes the importance of collaboration between countries and civil society to achieve the overall goals for sustainable development.
