With the expertise of PSU College of Technology Faculty and College of Education, Technology Specialized Course conducted skills training in different fields of technology at Barangay Naguilayan in Binmaley, Pangasinan.

The said program conducted the following activities:

Food Technology Commercial Cooking Training Program (Leading to Cookery NC II)
Electronics Technology and Electrical Technology
House Electrical Wiring Installation (Leading to Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II)
Simple Appliances Repair and Maintenance (Leading to Electronics Products & Appliances Servicing NC II)

Basic Welding (Leading to Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II)
T-Shirt Printing (Leading to Visual Graphics Design NC III)

Food Technology, Commercial Cooking Training Program
(Leading to Cookery NC II)

Thirty-two (32) unemployed men and women attended the training on April 11- 12, 2018 at Barangay Naguilayan, Binmaley, Pangasinan. Participants gained knowledge and skills on preparing puto, rice cakes and other delicacies.

Electronics Technology and Electrical Technology, House Electrical Wiring Installation
(Leading to Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II)

The Faculty members handling Electronics and Electrical Technology courses together with their students implemented the training on Residential Electrical Wiring. The training was attended by eleven (11) unemployed adults, out-of-school youth and parents on May 3-4, 2018. The training highlighted planning of the proper location of service panels and details installation of electric feed. The training is beneficial to educate locals to have background in household wiring for the safety of their own home.

Simple Appliances Repair and Maintenance
(Leading to Electronics Products & Appliances Servicing NC II)

This training was executed on May 3-4, 2018, and was attended by eleven (11) out-of-school youth. The training focused on the procedures in diagnosing minor to major troubles of appliances, actual trouble shooting and repair applying the different servicing techniques, skills in removing/replacing of parts, observance of safety precautions and on the proper use of different tools and equipment.

Basic Computer Operation and maintenance
(Leading to Computer Software Servicing NC II)

The faculty members handling the Electronics course provided training on Basic Computer Operation and Maintenance. This training was attended by seventeen (17) NES teachers and Barangay Officials. This was conducted on April 19-20, 2018 with the assistance of the Punong Brgy. Don Salvador C. Cerezo. The participants learned computer troubleshooting and maintenance.

Basic Welding
(Leading to Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II)

On April 25-26, 2018 Faculty members handling Mechanical Technology courses facilitated the training on Basic Welding. The training was attended by nine (9) unemployed adults. The training aimed to introduce the various welding processes to be used, perform workplace safety housekeeping, expand simple techniques, develop skills, apply problem-solving techniques in the workplace, select materials, and gain proficiency in the operation of each process.

Basic Motorcycle Engine Tune-Up and Maintenance
(Leading To Small Engine Servicing NC II)

The Faculty members handling Automotive Technology courses provided training on Basic Motorcycle Engine Tune-Up and Preventive Maintenance on April 25-26, 2018. This training provided the nine ( 9 ) tricycle operators and drivers the basic skills and knowledge on the purpose of tuning which is to improve the volumetric efficiency of the engine, to improve the gas flow and cooling system, and taught the operator and the driver or mechanic to make adjustments that ensure the correct fuel ratio matches the ignition timing and that both remain inside the safe operating parameters of the engine.

T-Shirt Printing
(Leading to Visual Graphics Design NC III)
This training was conducted on May 9-10, 2018, and was attended by eight (8) elementary teachers and thirteen (13) unemployed adults. The training was facilitated by the Faculty members handling Drafting Technology courses. The training aimed to introduce the various printing processes to be used like โ€œplastisolโ€ or water-based inks applied to the shirt through mesh screens which limits the areas where ink is deposited. Another form of t-shirt decoration is heat transfer vinyls. These allow the trainees to make short runs of printed shirts using plotter-cut vinyl that they can heat press unto the garment.

Participants can apply their new learnings not just for their daily and personal needs but they can use their learning for their living as well. Pangasinan State University exercise its core functions research extension and production to help students and the community for over all society development.
