In line with Pangasinan State University’s commitment to community empowerment and social responsibility, the PSU Lingayen Campus actively participated in the university-wide initiative “Hibla ng Pagkakaisa: Ukay na Pag-asa.” This donation drive embodies the spirit of sustainability, volunteerism, and solidarity by encouraging the collection of pre-loved clothing that can be repurposed or rehomed to benefit marginalized individuals and groups.
The donation drive was conducted from November 24 to December 12, 2025 at PSU Lingayen Campus. Faculty members, students, and staff came together to support this meaningful cause, demonstrating the campus’ strong culture of volunteerism and compassion. Collection points were strategically placed across the campus to ensure accessibility and encourage maximum participation. Throughout the campaign, the PSU Lingayen community responded with generosity, donating a wide variety of clothing items. These contributions reflected not only material support but also the shared values of empathy and unity that the program seeks to cultivate. The turnover of proceeds is will be directed to identified marginalized beneficiaries, ensuring that the donations reach those most in need. This act of giving highlights the university’s dedication to uplifting communities and fostering inclusive development.
The Hibla ng Pagkakaisa: Ukay na Pag-asa program at PSU Lingayen Campus stands as a testament to the university’s unwavering commitment to service and sustainability. The initiative successfully mobilized the campus community to extend hope and support to marginalized beneficiaries. As the donations are turned over before Christmas, the program not only celebrates National Volunteer Month but also symbolizes the true spirit of giving—transforming threads of compassion into fabrics of hope.
