Recognizing the need for student achievements to be duly acknowledged, the University President, Dr. Dexter Buted initiated the conduct of the Gawad Parangal Para sa mga Natatanging Mag-aaral ng PSU. This annual award is considered to be the highest recognition that a PSUnian student can aspire for. The main objective of the search is to recognize students who have excelled in their academic endeavor coupled with their co-curricular and extra-curricular activities in order to become more competitive, responsive, and well-rounded individuals.
Dr. Butedโs own experience as an award-winning student leader influenced his passion to provide students with various pathways for recognition that they truly deserved.
