NOTABLE AS ONE OF THE MOST-CITED RESEARCHERS in the university, Dr. Phillip G. Queroda did not hesitate to impart his expertise to budding researchers from the Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division Office 1 of Pangasinan, during the District-wide Webinar on Capacity Building of Science Teachers in Writing-Scientific Research on August 23-25.

In the three-day webinar, the Director of Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation (ETEEAP) tackled his best practices in checking and avoiding plagiarism during scholarly writing which is considered one of the crucial parts of academic research.

Aside from that, Queroda, the Deputy Director for Academics, Research and Extension of Open University System (OUS), shared the International Research Publication Standards to help DepEd teachers ensure honest, clear, accurate, balanced, and transparent publication mounting their research integrity.
“My gratitude to DepEd… for this opportunity to share my humble grip in research publication as Resource Person,” Dr. Queroda posted on his Facebook account.

He added that he enjoyed the lecture especially in sharing all the practical and relevant takeaways in preparation for the world of scholarly writing and publication.

In the university, Queroda is one of the productive researchers who has the most number of research, and research publications, and citations. Some of his scholarly works are “Professional characteristics of education teachers in Pangasinan” and “Theme Writing Skills of Pangasinan State University (PSU) Education students”.

The Deputy Director said he is so ‘ecstatic’ seeing his former colleagues and students in the said event, thus allowing him ‘to serve his other purpose other than teaching’.
